Studio Katia Anniversary Blog Hop

Studio Katia Anniversary Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to our surprise blog hop to celebrate Studio Katia and the amazing Katia herself.

May is Studio Katia's 7th Birthday and we couldn’t let it pass without thanking all of you and also Katia for her amazing products.

Like many around the world, the last few years haven't been the greatest for Katia and the design team wanted to let her know how much she is loved and appreciated.

We are offering three $25 CAD gift certs as prizes for the hop and to be in with a chance of winning we just need you to comment on all the stops on the hop and share a little bit of love for Katia along the way.

The blog hop will run until 7th June with winners being announced soon after here on the Studio Katia blog.

I’m bringing today a card featuring this super cool Graduation stamp set, very appropriate for this time of the year.

I started by stamping the image in two sections on watercolour friendly cardstock. Using black ink for the hat and a neutral ink for the flowers. I went ahead and did a no-line watercolouring on all the elements of the design, then I used the matching die to cut the image. I added a thick layer of glossy accents and set aside to dry. For the main panel, I inked a basic white cardstock in ombre technique and used the Chunky Sprinkle stencil with white ink, then I added a layer of glitter paste all over the stencil. I then trimmed the panel and added foam tape in the back. I stamped a sentiment from the same set on black cardstock on white embossing powder and heat set it.

To assemble the card, I adhered a plain black layer of cardstock to my cardbase using Katia’s super strong liquid adhesive and I added the blue and sprinkle panel on top. I then adhered the image, then the sentiment strip right under it. As a finishing touch, I added some Iridescent Magnolia sequins for a bit of extra sparkle and dimension. I hope you feel inspired by this project.
