Pumpkin Harvest Card

Pumpkin Harvest Card

I was very excited to show you these two very easy cards I made featuring the new Mini Harvest stamp and die set. These are the ideal cards to make in a pinch or when you need to do a bit of mass production.

I started by stamping the pumpkin 3 times on white cardstock using a fade resistant black ink and coloured the images with alcohol markers. Die cut them with the matching die and set aside.

I also stamped the image on fall colour cardstocks using white embossing powder and heat setting. I blended some distress inks of a darker shade of each cardstock, just at the bottom of each pumpkin. Die cut them and set aside.

In a piece of white textured cardstock I placed some low tack tape above the midline and blended a very light hand of Saltwater Taffy and Spiced Marmalade. I arranged and adhered the 3 coloured pumpkin images in the centre and splattered some water and white gouache on top. I used the sentiment from the same set, stamped it, added gold embossing powder and heat set it. As a final touch, I added a few iridescent bubbles for a bit of sparkle.

For the second card, I cut a piece of black cardstock using the Mini Slimline die set . I adhered the 3 other pumpkins in the centre and splattered gold paint all over. For a sentiment, I used the  one from the Simply Hi set, did some white on black stamping and embossing and placed it on the centre of the middle image. The final touch is the gold foiled pearls.

I then adhered the panel to a 3 X 7 “ mini slimline cardbase and voila! Second card was done.

I was able to make these two cards in less than 2 hours. The design and elements are simple enough that will allow for mass production. Those final details such as the embellishments and the gold paint, really tie everything, giving an extra touch to each card.

I hope you enjoy these projects and take inspiration from them.

Thanks for visiting, see you next time!
