Shaker Hot Foil Hi

Hello crafty peeps!

I’m glad to be here today sharing this project with the lovely hot foil Hi plate, one of my favorites from Studio Katia’s newest release

I started by prepping my hot foil platform and plate. Once it was foiled, I used the matching die to cut it out and I also cut several extra pieces from thick cardstock, glued them all together and set them aside.

I chose one sheet of the Black on White paper set and cut it into a 5 ¼ X 4 “ and from it, I cut a window in the centre. Leaving all the pieces still together, I added just a bit of glue to the centre of the cardstock and adhered it to the A2 cardbase, lifted the frame around and firmly secured the smaller piece in the centre adding more adhesive. To the frame, I adhered a piece of Studio Katia’s Acetate sheet to cover the open window and added foam tape all around it.

I used a mix of Rainbow Wheels embellishment with clear sequins for the shaker and adhered the frame panel on top.

I also stamped and heat embossed in white powder a sentiment from the same stamp set and cut it in a thin stripe.I adhere the hot foil Hi offset to the left and the stamped message on top of it.

Here is another card I made using the same Hi foil plate and stamp set. You’ll notice (or maybe not) that the foiling here didn’t go as planned but I didn’t want to discard it and decided to use it for a second project. Placing the strip of sentiment in the middle of it, helped to distract from the not so perfect foiling.

I really like how this card is both classic and fun and I hope it inspires you to create your own designs.

Thanks for visiting and see you soon!
